Floor Plans and Event Logistics
During a site visit we will help work out floor plans, timeline and flow of the event either with your event coordinator or just with you. Our many years of experience enable us to create beautiful, functional and seamless events.
Custom Menu design
Each of our menus is designed based on your individual needs and preferences. Our menus reflect what is in season and delicious at the time of your event. Local farmers markets and the talented food artisans in our region are our inspiration.
Bar and Beverage
We offer full bar service and can help you in choosing varieties and quantities of beer, wine and other drinks for your bar. We have excellent bartenders and mixologists. We love to create seasonal specialty cocktails for mixed drinks and have a great list of seasonal non-alcoholic drinks as well.
Venue and Vendor Referrals
We are happy to refer you to great event venues that we regularly work at from San Francisco to Big Sur. We can refer florists, wedding coordinators, event planners, photographers, musicians and lighting specialists for your event.
Staff and Service
We offer full service and drop off options for catering. You can choose buffet, family style, or plated meal service. We are as well loved for our service as for our food. Typically we are among the first to arrive and the last to leave, taking care of all dining related set-up, food and drink service and end of event break down.
We hold several group tastings a year, typically in our off season. If you are unable to attend one of these group tastings we can meet you at an event with a packed meal to go, when appropriate. Private custom tastings are available for an extra fee if we are available, but given that we are catering most weekends we do encourage trying to make one of our set group tastings.
Rentals, Linens & Tabletops
After a site visit or phone consultation with you, we will place a rental order with one of the local rental companies for all of your event needs. The price of rentals will be added on top of your catering bill. We also have relationships with specialty linen and vintage china rental companies.
Odds and ends
For all the other little odds and ends, we can either take care of them or refer you to someone who can, for example such things as homemade jam party favors, late night pizza trucks, or garbage/recycling removal.
Heidi and Amy are longtime friends and business partners and are often mistaken for sisters. Both of them were born and raised in the central coast area and among its beauty and abundance. Inspired by their love for food, nature, travel, and all things beautiful, they enjoy spending their time making delicious food and gathering people together. Both have worked in food and restaurants all their working careers, and between them have tried on every hat in the trade. Either is comfortable and adept at working both front and back of the house, making for a flexible and competent team.
Heidi learned the art of cooking from her family. Her dad taught her how to pick a perfect peach, plant a garden, tend the orchard and do it all with patience and skill. Her mom instilled in her an appreciation of good food properly prepared and the joy in sharing it with others. Simple things done well, good clean and fair farming and entertaining with a sense of style and generosity are the ideas that inspire Heidi in all her kitchen endeavors. Her integrity and commitment to local, organic, seasonal sourcing is well appreciated by everyone hoping to create a better food future. Her food is simple, elegant, delicious and a beautiful reflection of the best that our growing region has to offer.
Amy handles the details and runs the show. Her focus is meeting with clients, handling the venue, rentals, service, helping in the kitchen, and adapting graciously to all the surprises that might come up during an event. Her years of experience and detailed planning ensure that every event runs smoothly and effortlessly for our clients. Time spent at the UCSC Farm and Garden program and interning at Chez Panisse have informed Amy's natural artistic sensibilities around food and service and created a style that is elegant and refined but never forced. Amy's ability to truly listen to her client's needs and desires makes realizing their dreams a reality. Her endless adaptability and flexibility makes working with her a pleasure.
Heidi loves fruit...loves growing fruit, eating fruit and capturing fruit's peak moments through her preserving. What she does not grow on her family’s organic farm, she seeks out from the best local and organic producers. Learn more »
Luckily for us, doing the right thing is also good for business, provides the tastiest food and creates the change we want to see in the world. Through our buying power, we put dollars into the hands of local organic farmers, grassfed and organic ranchers, and fisheries that strive for real long-term sustainability.
As a business, our mission is to take practical and realistic steps towards creating a sustainable business model while at the same time providing the very best quality product for our customers. In our industry, that means composting food scraps, reducing plastic usage, shopping local and organic, and providing living wage jobs. Our hope is to set the standard in both food quality and business practices.
